Susan B. James

About

Yes. I am chronologically gifted, but who we are inside our shell doesn’t change.

I write second chance romances with a few sexy bits as Susan B. James and children’s books as Susan J. Berger. I write older heroines because I create characters who remember that change is only on the outside. Inside our older shells is a much younger psyche.

Why two names? My children don’t want to acknowledge their mother knows anything about sex. Hence the Susan B. James.

I am a proud Grandma to Eleanor Susan Corbin (Ella), Walter Chaplin Howard-Corbin, and Eugene Keaton Howard-Corbin. Their Grandpa is actor Barry Corbin. You may know him as Uncle Bob from Urban Cowboy, Maurice Minnifield from Northern Exposure, or as General Berringer in War Games.

Video Interviews

The Alison Arngrim Show

Alison Arngrim who played Nelly on A Little House on the Prairie interviewed me for her blog. She posts her show on Facebook. It was delightful to be interviewed by Alison. She is a funny, lovely human being.

Regan W.H. Macaulay Interview

Author and videographer Regan W.H. Macaulay interviewed me for her blog about American Horror Story, Roanoke, and my books (I played The Real Butcher). Warning: She has some brief graphic shots from AHS.

I live in Los Angeles and my other career is acting.

I write children’s books under the name Susan J. Berger.
